What Is SERP Sensor?

SERP Sensor measures the daily changes in Google search results and generates an algorithm volatility score (on a 0-10 scale). A low score (0-3) indicates a calm day, while a high score (7-10) indicates a major algorithm swing. Measurements are made separately for different categories such as e-commerce, finance, healthcare, technology, and education, so you can clearly see the situation in your own industry.

Unlike tools such as Semrush Sensor and MozCast, SERP Sensor measures SERP changes in Turkey (google.com.tr), so instead of getting misleading results from global data, you see the real situation in your Turkish market. You can also view known Google algorithm updates marked on the historical time series.

How Is It Used?

1. In the dashboard, go to “Analytics” → SERP Sensor.
2. Select the category that fits your industry (e.g. E-commerce or Healthcare).
3. Review today’s volatility score and the scores from the last 7 days.
4. If your rankings changed, check the SERP volatility for the same date.
5. If volatility is high, this is an algorithm update; check your Site Health report to determine whether there is also a site-specific issue.
6. If volatility is low, the change is probably caused by your own site or by your competitor.
7. To set a threshold alert, define the industry and score threshold in the “Notifications” section.
