On-Page SEO

On-Page SEO — all title, meta, content, internal link, image, and technical optimizations made directly on a web page itself.

On-Page SEO (page-level SEO) covers all optimizations made directly on a web page so it can perform better in search engines.

The core components of On-Page SEO:

  • Title tag (title) and meta description
  • Heading hierarchy from H1 to H6
  • Content quality, depth, and keyword usage
  • URL structure and readability
  • Image optimization (alt text, file size, format)
  • Internal linking (internal linking)
  • Schema markup and Structured Data

It should be considered together with Off-Page SEO (backlinks, brand mentions); however, while you do not have full control over Off-Page, On-Page is completely under your control. For that reason, in an SEO project, On-Page is built on a solid foundation first, and then authority-building work begins.

Tip: Apply your On-Page checklist before publishing every new page. Even a single title tag adjustment can sometimes create noticeable changes in rankings.
