Technical SEO

Technical SEO — infrastructure work that ensures the search engine side functions properly, including crawling, indexing, speed, mobile compatibility, and site architecture.

Technical SEO (Technical SEO) encompasses all infrastructure-level optimizations performed so a website can be crawled and indexed smoothly by search engines.

The main components of Technical SEO are:

  • Site speed and Core Web Vitals
  • Mobile compatibility and responsive design
  • Crawl budget management
  • Robots.txt and XML sitemap configuration
  • Canonical tags and duplicate content control
  • HTTPS and security
  • JavaScript renderability
  • HTTP status codes (200, 301, 404, etc.)
  • Structured Data (Schema.org)

No matter how good the content and backlinks are, a site with technical infrastructure issues cannot realize its ranking potential. If a page is not indexed, no one can find it through search.

Tip: Perform a comprehensive technical SEO audit at least twice a year. Small technical issues can build up over time and lead to major traffic losses.
