Off-Page SEO

Off-page SEO — backlink, brand mention, and digital PR efforts carried out outside a site to increase its authority and trustworthiness.

Off-Page SEO (Off-Page SEO) covers all factors that affect a site’s rankings and occur outside the site itself.

The main Off-Page SEO activities:

  • Backlink acquisition: Links from high-quality, relevant websites.
  • Digital PR: Brand mentions on news sites and industry publications.
  • Branded searches: Users actively searching for the brand name.
  • Social signals: Content sharing and engagement on social media.
  • Reviews and ratings: Reviews on third-party websites.

Off-Page SEO answers the question search engines ask: “is this site a trustworthy source in its industry?” Backlink is still the strongest Off-Page signal; however, the authority and topical relevance of the referring site are more valuable than the number of links.

Tip: Instead of buying spam links, creating content that is genuinely worth sharing (linkable asset) is the most sustainable Off-Page method.
